The GamesIndustry.biz UK Best Places To Work Awards judging deadline ends in just one month (Monday, June 20).
Now in its fifth year, the project is all about making the games industry a better place to work. It’s judged via an employer form (worth 20% of the final score) and an employee surey (worth 80%), and the winners will be revealed during a ceremony at Develop:Brighton on Tuesday, July 12. To take part, click here.
The event is sponsored by Amiqus, Hutch Games (Small Company Category), Ico Partners (Diversity Award) and Playground Games (Mid-Sized Company Category). Event partners include Develop:Brighton, SpecialEffect and Ukie.
The awards are completely free to take part in, and every participant will receive a free report showing your overall employee scores. We also have more in-depth paid reports that companies can buy. GamesIndustry.biz will also be producing Best Places To Work podcasts, designed to offer advice and guidance on becoming a better employer.
Only the winners of the awards are announced, and individual employee responses are entirely anonymous.
The Best Places To Work Awards winners are split into three categories: Small Companies, Mid-Sized Companies, and Large Companies. We also have a number of special trophies that will be handed out. These are:
The Health and Wellbeing Award
The Corporate Social Responsibility Award (presented by SpecialEffect)
The Diversity Award (presented by Ico Partners)
The Environmental Award
The Education Award
The G Into Gaming Award (presented by Amiqus)
UK Best Boss
The Best Places To Work Awards are unique in the games industry, offering evidence of great studio working culture, directly from the people who work in them,” says Amiqus business manager Liz Prince.
“We’ve supported BPTW since 2018 and have been fortunate to see the positive impact made by those forward-thinking studios with culture and people at their heart. The 2022 Best Places To Work Awards will take part as a live event for the first time since the pandemic and we’re delighted and honoured to once again offer our support and to highlight a special individual with the G Into Gaming award for diversity and inclusion. We very much look forward to seeing everyone in Brighton in July for this truly uplifting event.
